Drew is the managing partner in our Maryland office. He brings more than 30 years of executive, sales, operational, and marketing experience with traditional middle-market financial, service, distribution, and manufacturing companies to his practice. Drew’s company, The Morton Group, concentrates on mergers, acquisitions, business brokerage, valuations, capital procurement, and real estate brokerage with typical transaction values ranging from $1 million to $25 million.

Drew is an active member of the International Business Brokers Association, the world’s largest trade organization of business brokerage intermediaries, and has served as an educational instructor and committee member. Additionally, he is a member of the M&A Source, a middle market focused trade organization of merger and acquisition professionals. He is also active in the Institute of Certified Business Counselors, a national organization for professional business advisors, where he has served on the Board of Directors and as national conference chairman. Drew has additionally served on the National Advisory Council to Business Brokers Network, the largest group of affiliated business brokers in the United States.

Mr. Smith graduated summa cum laude from the Merrick School of Business, University of Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Real Estate. He is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI), Certified Business Broker (CBB), Master Certified Business Counselor (MCBC) and Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Maryland.
